Description
I crocheted this baby blanket for a friend, and thought you might like to see it! I just finished on Friday night, and the baby was born shortly thereafter. (Two weeks early - Good thing I wasn't pushing the deadline!)
Thanks to Jill and Marilyn for long conversations on the hands-free headset! I used that time to work on the blanket. :)
And ... Welcome to the world, Elliott!

A gift to be treasured, forever Tara. I do the same craft works as you. May heaven bless Elliot, may his life be filled with happiness and Joys. Hugs for you all. Diane.
Again a fabulous macro of a simple object... a wonderfull and original shot Tara!
Well he should be 'snug as a bug in a rug' with that wrapped around him Tara. A beautiful bit of crochete, this and tatting I never got to grips with, although my mother was a dab hand at both. Welcome to the world from me Elliott, I hope you will be very happy here. A beautiful bit of kit Tara and with those colours it didn't matter whether it was a boy or a girl. Pretty evenly matched with pink and blues I think. It is also an excellent capture. Excellent work all round. Bravo!!!!!
YW, Tara!! Nothing like multi-tasking!! It's beautiful and I'm happy to know Jilly and I contributed if only a little to its completion~~and how wonderful to know about this new baby born into the world!!
Excellent work

Beautiful, my Mom taught me to knit and crochet and sew.. and I have always loved and kept everything she made me.. she had a heck of a time teaching me though since I am left handed.. Nice keep sake for Elliott and his family !
How delicate and special this gift is... for each of my 3 children, 2 of my neices, and 4 of my grand children, I did a blanket, a sweater, hat and booties. With the last grand child I guess I got a wild hair going on because I made a quilt instead. Very lovely blanket and a wonderful shot of it.

How lovely to welcome the little guy this way! Beautiful work, and I am so envious, as I knit, sew, embroider, do petit point, crewel work and tatting, but I CAN'T crochet! lol. Just a blind spot I guess!

Tara, you are so talented! And here I thought all your efforts were distributed among your job, driving to Ann's nursery, photography and the computer! Amazing, a renaissance lady of the first water! Superb capture of your superb handiwork, young lady!
Excellent job on the blanket and the photo, Tara. Be sure to save the original photo to show to Elliott 15 years from now to thoroughly embarrass him. :-)
