Yeah I was wondering that myself. It also looks like the dragon is not helping. Kinda like a court adviser/minister that brings only bad news. Either way very good and detailed expressions and pose and the lighting really sets the mood of this image

This is a gorgeous piece of art. I really like her pose and expression, she does have a bit of melancholy about her. Excellent work on the dragon as well, which one is that anyways? And last but not least, the lighting and textures work beautifully together in this as well as the colors. Very well done

Beautiful image, really looks like it belongs on the cover of a graphic novel it's so great. As for the sadness your right, it is something that almost everyone who sees it will think about.
