Description
When a Western Red Cedar (Thuja plicata) dies, it may lie on the forest floor for over a century. Many types of plants will use this "nurse log" for support and nutrients as it decays.
On this log I can see several different ferns, Oxalis, mosses, huckleberry bushes, and others I can't identify.
I hope everyone is having a great weekend. Thanks for stopping by and any comments.
