Description

I haven't been posting lately, not that I haven't been tinkering around with poser though. I've got about half a dozen .pz3 files that are either half done or that I worked on partially and have since lost interest in. I'd call it a production slump rather than a creative one. In any event here's one of the things I've been working on. Mary (Porthos) has been working on a T'Pol for V4 for a little while now and was gracious enough to let me build on what what she started (Thanks a bunch!). I've still got some work to do but so far I like the results. That said, is it just me or does she look a little cross eyed? (though the eye-balls are both set to zero). The lighting used here was an IBL light set that came with Poser7 and the hair is an old DAZ set that's been modified somewhat by me. I used 2 magnets to shape the ears in addition to the available V4.1 morphs. [Comments/critiques are always welcome]

Yes, the upper left one does look a little cross-eyed, but not so much on the others. Very good likeness so far.

been there done that, wonder if I'll ever finish anything :P looks good, though I'd bring her chin back just a tad and maybe reducer her head just slightly on the X axis... but that's just me :D And I think the cross eyed look comes from the fact that the eyes are a bit farther apart than usual, but I'm not sure how to fix that one, maybe sink them back a little bit. Ok, I'm done now, gotta figure out what to do for my big three oh oh :P

Very nice work! Of course, as a Trek fan, I might be slightly biased . . .

The facial morph is really right on for her. I think she is looking fantastic so far there. No, I don't think that she looks cross eyed...great colab between you two.

So this is where you've been... The cross eye-ness seems slight in the upper right corner, but it's not bad.

Looks good, but for me at least it's easier to judge when there's a photo of her next to it. Realize that copyright issues prevent uploads of that sort here though. Got any somewhere else like that though?

Looks like great work to me but I have to agree with danamongden the left image is the only that looks slighty crosseyed.

Nice work! I think the cross-eyed look is a just a result of the the cheekbones and the eye sockets and the angle of the picture and there's not really anything wrong. It's just a bad angle for her. Maybe Jolene has this problem? Everyone has a "good" and "bad" photographic side. Maybe you're stumbling across her's during this build process?

That is the closest to T'Pol I've seen sor far - terrific work Pete. I agree with cujo da ma, bring the chin back a tad, otherwise spot on! WTG! :)

I gave up on Star Trek years ago when they made the mess that was Voyager and only watched the first 6 episodes of Enterprise before writing off the show; but this is a great likeness.

She is really tough to get right and as you know I have tried. With that said I think it is a great start! Hard to tell at this angle if she looks crosseyed but I know when I messed around with the eye shape a lot I sometimes got some strange results especially with V4. Anyway really great work my friend!!!

Very good likeness, if you are concerned about the eyes, maybe if you squeeze in the lacrimals toward center or move the eyes both in that would possibly alleviate any concerns of "cross-eyed-ness" - though to be honest I dont think it is present or noticable at all. She really does look a lot like Jolene Blalock's character though!

Not a bad morph jobbie, yes she does look a little cross eyed and her lower jaw seems to be too far forward, but I don't have any ref-pix, so maybe that's the way she is ? a bit more tweaking and I'm sure you will get her right ! Well done the both of you ! ~Cheers~ :o)
