Description

Pazu was not in the best of moods, when the Master Tracker had notified him that his starship was hidden in a valley near the the Taruunsat Mountains in the Ramada Desert. After docking his own lander on the dorsal hatch, Pazu went down to the hangar bay and handed the samples he had of the Blight over to the huge, bulking medical officer, Goran-Goran of Augustani. He watched Silver101, the silvery skinned cyborganic lifeform of the ship's crew, assist the medical officer work on the samples in the disposable Iso-Lab until the Master Tracker came up to him. The Master Tracker remarked, "I am picking up TWO Naga distress beacons. One is affixed to the top of Shalmiraine, the ancient artifact fortress of proto-humans, and one is nearby on one of the human's flying cities! How is this possible? We are to rescue Tiyyee the White, administrator of the Sururin Enclave--where did the other beacon come from?" Pazu exploded, "Because there are TWO NAGAS on planet! One is Tiyyee, the other is her daughter. Tiyyee was pregnant when she fled from the invasion by Jongwe! Remember?" The Master Tracker's tentacle's twitched in anger, being talked to so disrespectfully, and said in a flat tone, "My memory is unflawed. I didn't say, 'Two beacons from the Sururin Enclave'--I said,'two NAGA beacons. I shouldn't be surprised that Tiyyee's daughter had survived, but why are they still on planet? DAUGHTER? Did you make contact?" Pazu paused, relishing what he was about to strike his commander with. Pazu said slowly, "You are aware that I am almost to rank of Thoth in Independent Studies, aren't you?" The Master Tracker's tentacle's twitched again and slid around in agitation. Pazu blinked. "I did NOT make contact. My friend, Narchi--the artificial life-form I have told you of HAS! More so--he had a hand in the invention ON THIS PLANET of a Relative Inertia Field!" The Master Tracker recoiled in fear and uttered,"The improbability of this is unbelievable!" Pazu folded his wings and looked pleased with himself as he said with finality,"You never asked WHAT the name that Tiyyee-the-White, Leader of Nada-Haltu, and head of the Sururin Matriarchy NAMED HER CHILD! She gave it the name of 'Measure-of-the-Bridge-Between-Worlds'!" The Master Tracker's arms and tentacles went numb and the locater globe he held bounced on the deck-plates. "That is the only name given to one of the 'Four Sisters'! The guardians of the human species that the ancient proto-humans built into their enigmatic probability engines! That means--because YOU came HERE first--that they have involved YOU in the vast web of probability." The Master Tracker picked up the remote locater globe and said, "THAT action might well have doomed us all." Pazu nodded and retorted,"Maybe! I'm not giving up,yet! I'm going to recontact Narchi and find out his plans. Apparently he is more involved with being a 'strange attractor' in this mess, than I am. I think if we help humans in this--perhaps we'll survive." The Master Tracker said flatly, "Remember Triangulum?" The Master turned and stalked off. Pazu was stung by the invocation of the greatest betrayal in recorded history. Almost all the allies of humankind had died when the ancient humans had destroyed that entire galaxy. Pazu would rather BE a cog in the ancient macroscopic probability weapon than have it pointed at him. Pazu felt Goran-Goran and Silver101's eyes on him as he left the Master's ship. --TO BE CONTINUED!-- Media is Poser6&7, Blacksmith2.2,Wings3d,PSP7

Great story and characters. But this time the image is to chaotic for me. Cant tell you if it is the light or something else. Maybe it is because nothing highlighted, the eyes have no focus.Or it is just me. ;)

@Ladonna--It's just you. LOLOLOLOL The Doctor and assistant are behind reflections and paler and smaller. The two characters that are having dialogue are bigger, darker and facing each other. That is a form of high-lighting. ^__^ V,, It's probably chaotic seeming because there is no purely human form for the mind to immediately recognize. That's the challenge.

Am still enjoying the story. I agree the Ladonna somewhat, especially because the main focus of the story is on the 2 front characters, but to me they are background elements. The main focus of the picture to my eyes is the character at the table, that is who my eyes are drawn too when I look at the piccie.

It's unreal how much effort must have gone into creating this superb image, and the story line itself is magnificent.

So, you used the word... LOL And she used the other word... ;-) LOL Welcome to the club! LOL This is very well done. I always find amazing how you can pack so much action into one scene. The emissary is really well modeled and textured. I also noticed that for the globe he carries you chose different characters than the ones you normally use, which make sense, since he probably has a different language from all the other characters. This shows very well your attention to detail. Amazing. The one thing that could be improved, IMHO, would be the modeling and texture of the brown and blue structure between the foreground characters and the glass dome. That structure is too low-rez (look at the shadow from the emisary, for example - the individual polygons are visible). It also looks too flat, specially the blue one, due to being self-iluminated. Because that structure is so eye-catching in the picture, it deserved more attention, IMHO. The characters and poses are excellent, as usual. The room itself is very good, in all aspects. Lighting is perfect.
