Description
Ever have something that's supposed to start small and ends up more than you planned? This was supposed to be a simple shot of a very precarious rock-balancing act that has stood an amazingly long time (The big one that's kind of "conical" and perched on a tiny rock on the left side of the circle) but once I started taking pictures I started thinking "wouldn't it be cool if..." and next thing you know I've been out in the blazing sun for over 30 minutes moving and balancing rocks!
I know I've been really bad about posting, and commenting lately. I've been both really busy and then I got sick. But I'm (mostly) better now, so I promise all you guys I've been neglecting I'll try to catch up this weekend.
Thanks for taking a look and have a great weekend.

I think you have way too much time on your hands lol Excellent capture!!
Wonderful balancing... I hope it is a fairy circle! Concentrate on getting 100% better, comments can wait. Top shot! Take care of you, please. Hugs. Diane.
I see you have been busy with stone balancing. you really have a knack for such. excellent capture
I like the intercepting lines of shadows in this~ Like the rocks are set to a certain time... maybe when the fairies appear... Feel better soon~ Hugs and well wishes to you! =)
This picture is well and truly worth the time it took to set it up. It embodies what I believe art should be; a collabrative effort between the creator and his or her creation. I am sure the setting of these stones defied your patience for a few moments! My wife and I lived in Britain for three years and couldn't get enough of stone circles (in fact, you've inspired me to do my next piece on that subject matter)and your picture here brought back my rembrances with a smile. Some of the stones (though it hardly seems an appropriate word considering their size!) at Avebury, whilst not as precariously balanced as yours, have a similar shape to the ones you have chosen. What a magnificient spectacle all in all! My score is 5 for the effort involved. P.S. Castle Rigg near Keswick in Cumbria is perhaps my favourite stone circle, mostly due to the vista you obtain when you stand within it.
time worth doing this. look like a rock garden now. and a diff type of rock garden . looks super
Reminds me of the time my best friend and I went camping with her family (waaaaay back in high school) in midwestern Oregon, and we made crop circles for fun. Except this is much more artistic and beautiful, and obviously takes a great amount of skill. You get high marks from me for the result AND the effort, and to give the rest of us something wonderful to look at. Thank you!!!
beautiful capture....
AMAZING again Congrats! But are you sure you did not take CRAZY GLUE ;-) I try last week...and My God it's not easy!!
Great balancing act and the shot is from a good angle also. Hope you get better soon:)
You've definitely developed a certain skill for this mate, keep it up. Great photo btw.
Excellent capture, I'm impressed about those balancing acts. Superbly done!
I have a great collection of rocks smaller then yours! I'm impressed what you did with the rocks..it's a talent.. I like your rock garden :)
Aliens have landed! The new crop circles! Brilliant!
Fantastic!!! Another brilliant sculpture very artistic!! The time and effort must have been worth it, I keep going back to have another look, I have enlarged the image five times whilst typing this. You should get some prints framed and approach a local gallery. Near to where I live a local artist shows hers in the doctors surgery and gives 10% to the surgery's charity.
it is really amazing to look at this...
You fine and fun work captured here makes me this of a family of "rock people" having an outdoor picnic. YOur balancing and arrangements are creative and effective art that your photo captures well!!!
A visit from the rock fairies? Quarry Gnomes perhaps? I never get tired of these!
No fair...I wanna play, too! whine, snivel...I adore this...and am inches from sending you plane fare to come and balance some here for me...lol. Either a faerie circle...or a wonderful moon circle for use...Now, hoping that you've made an entrance to the East. :)
It is for sure a fairies circle! Excellent!!!
Oh dear, I like them and I am afraid I am going to try something like that. I am not sure I can resist. It looks so COOL !
