Description
These birds facinate me. Since we have not seen any at all until the last couple of years, I am facinated by their social behaviour. The come and go in groups. One group lands in the tree, then another, then another..like a planned gathering to talk about "what is up for today". Then, they leave, a bunch going this way and another bunch going a different direction. They fly with a happiness, flitting and staying together but with a feeling of freedom and giddiness I do not see in other wild creatures.
I realize this is not the special gallery image..this is simply social birdies in a tree, together waiting for the day to unfold. This is how these beautiful birds do, in their own space.
Light of morning sun was directly on the breast and was difficult to use..the breast shows so brightly. These birds have such smooth feathering..not smoothed in postwork. This is the bird as it is in a tree in the sunlight.

What precious moments you have captured and to see deeper than just the visual image.
I think these birds are so colourful and yes, they fascinate me too. I had the pleasure once only to photograph some in the snow, and with a nice blue sky like yours here. I do hope you get more chances for some closer views.
Ohhh, me too, the birds fascining me !!! so beautiful picture on them and very nice color and composition !!! :)
Good observation! Nice one!
How odd that you don't think this is a special gallery photo. It is the perfect mix of colour, light, shadow, and very interesting subject matter. I for one would disagree. It is lovely. BJ
The Spring is not so far!;-)
