Description
I went to a computer store to buy a larger power supply and this little guy was on the handrail when I came out. I went to grab my camera to take pictures of it.sad to say it was not long for the world. I wanted to try and take him but I knew it had been injured and did not want to cause it more stress
thanks for viewing and comment

Sweet litle bird - can you tell me the name of this species - it looks a little like our Jay that likes woodland habitats in England !
Ahh a Cedar Waxwing, one of my favorite birds. I love this. I'm glad you did not take him it would had cause more stress like you said, ecellent capture. ;)
I thought it was a female cardinal so what kind is it Richard. Now you made me cry for that sweet lil bird..............
Great shot - thanks for sharing!
I find the birds of your country amazing! Great detail in the capture and great to see from two angles.
Poor little guy-great photos
Ohhh always upsetting to see an injured animal and know we can't do anything :o( Great capture anyway Richard... ~ Hugs ~
looks like an Alien from the famous movies I have never seen a bird like that in europe and it makes me wonder if it isn't a visitor from space ha ha
Excellent shots of this beautiful bird. Sad to hear he was injured.
Sometimes they fly into windows. The cedar waxwings are in the Everglades here and in the parks by the river.
Very nice little bird, excellent shot!!

Poor little Waxwing, never seen one of these species here in OZ, only in the U.S. I guess ? I hope he recovers and lucky captures Richard ! ~Cheers~
Excellent pics and a sad story
I have such a tender heart for birds. I raised a robin in my drawer at work and I know how smart they can be. My bird recognized me and followed me around. I would have wanted to try to help him but I think you are right about getting more hurt if you did. I once caught 3 sparrows outside of a store that were covered in a sticky goop used to keep birds away from nesting in signs. It is illegal but someone used it on them. I tried to clean them but it would not come off. I took them the next day to the bird sanctuary but they told me they would probably die...but at least in a dark corner in peace....not scared to death outside a busy store front.
Poor fella, very sad and beautiful- nice pics, though.
I've been feeding the bird in my new pace hoping to get some little birds like this and all I get is Pigons :-) Great Shot.
