Doves have always been favorites of mine.
I have some that come in my yard every day.
But they are so shy and bolt so quickly.
I didn't think I'd get this before they left.

Doves and pigeons exhibit a close and loving bond with their mate. They generally stay paired until one or the other dies and the remaining mate sometimes will refuse the company of suitors for years afterward. Males and females not only lovingly groom each other but they will also feed each other. These are beautiful photos.

awee!!! just tooo sweet ....that is the one thing that stikes me about your work you capture the heart and have wonderful feel good images!! love this one !! used to have doves at my house in the 90's -i miss thier coo-ing !!... infact one year, i knew an earthquake was comming 'cause no cooing it was still amd silent outside kinda eerie ... and so we left town later finding out that a heavy object fell over my babys crib- truth!!!( that was the year the big southern california northridge quake 8.1 hit we were a few miles from the epicenter -i still thank the doves..!)
