Orchid.... one of my favourite flowers indeed! You've certainly brought a lot of attention to the beauty of it all! As other's have commented on the lighting, I must add that you did a superb job at this, not to mention the contrast. This image, for me contrasts the beauty of life with the voids life has to offer as well. Metaphorically, this image speaks a great deal!
