Description
“About time,” the femme fatale whispers, as she stares out of the window watching a beaten up old Cadillac pull up the driveway.
Turning away, she absentmindedly flicks a stray lock of hair away from her eyes and slowly walks towards the sole mahogany cabinet at the far side of the room. Opening the cabinet’s ornate glass doors, she takes out a single unassuming decanter filled with an amber hued liquid. As well as a single crystal glass, for one.
Pouring herself a drink from the decanter, the lady lets the rich single malt grace her lips as sounds of heavy footprints crunching on gravel intrudes through a single window cracked open from outside the safe house.
Finishing her glass with a single swig, she bends down and plucks out another item from the mahogany cabinet. She tucks this little item into a strap of her glossy corset as she grasps the now empty glass as well as the half empty decanter with her free hands and makes her way back to her seat facing the sole entrance into the room.
Setting the glassware down on a table besides her plush couch, she removes the third object from the place where she had tucked it in and staring down at the dull surface of the Glock for a few seconds she quietly sighs, “I was hoping it wouldn’t come to this, my old friend.”
The sounds of footsteps from the walkway behind the room’s closed door draw closer.
With expert precision like a seasoned solider, she checks the semi-automatic’s magazine, loads a slug into the chamber and carefully tucks it into a looped strap hidden underneath the coffee table…all in the span of only ten to fifteen seconds at most.
When the door slowly swings open, the woman picks up the decanter to pour herself another drink, her eyes never leaving the door-frame from where the figure of a large man was slowly spilling into the room.

This was the first promo from the spy thriller type of plot that I had running through my head, which I ended up using for the Boudoir Noir outfit commission posters which I created a while ago.
This scene is part 1 you can find the continuation of this plot-line, part 2 over here : The Puff Adder coils.

Stunning...B&W....image and character, love the selective colour....top notch lighting...great shadow and light play....!!...what else is there to say....apart from amazing legs....!!
I'm glad you liked it DG.
I usually try to finish up rendering as quickly as possible, but for this story's content I put in the added effort to get all the elements lined up just right.
NGL, she is one of my favorite characters to work with.
Great story line and marvelous image! Look forward to more.
Thank you for the compliment! I've got the story planned out in my head, but it might take a while to frame it into an image.
Very cool, now I'm hoping even more for a sequel. :)
Thanks! :) For the next one, I could just use some pre-made assets and FX overlays...but rather I'm fixated on finishing up the WIP particle systems to create the "bullet time" and muzzle flash effects for the 3rd image (also creating the glock will be something quick and easy so that's no issue).
So maybe...in the future I might finally get a shot at finishing this series.
Your writing skills are super. This render has a great character and sensational light and shadow work.
Hey, thanks for the compliment Dag. And as much as I like to develop 3D content, creating plots and story lines is what I love doing much more. If you liked this small plot snippet and the accompanying render, then this submission's purpose is served!
