Description
Tonight, my Dad passed away. He and Mom were involved in an auto accident. Mom was driving and Dad was the passenger. they were on their way home from shopping when they were T-Boned by a driver who, from all appearances, ignored the stop sign and plowed into their car. Dad suffered a cardiac arrest and the EMTs did all they could but could not revive him.
the full impact of this event has not hit me yet and I don't know when it will. My step-mom is okay with some cracked ribs, broken sternum and a minor concussion but she will make it. I ask your thoughts and prayers for my family, especially my step-mom as we travel down this road.
the picture presented to you is the hat that Dad always wore, no matter what, when, or where. It was his trademark.

I have lost my father 3 years ago, i understand that there are no words than can comfort you and your mom for this loose, but know that somehow I feel very close to you right now.

Oh God Mike I am so truly sorry for your loss. I cannot fathom it. I lost my Dad when I was only twelve, but I think in some ways, even though we're supposed to be more "equipped" to handle it when we're adults, it's harder. You've known them longer, you have more memories... you have a real appreciation for how much they loved you. All my blessings to you and yours in your immense grief.

I saw this at 2am this morning and I realized that you have commented on my work almost regularly since Dec of 2013 and I have only Occasionally looked at yours Well I went to your Gallery back to your first Post in 2008 and browsed through the Thumbnails stopping now and then to look at full images I finally finished at about 4am I encourage every one to do the same!

hey old bud, sorry man. of course you and yours are in our prayers. i am very familiar with this lately as the past several years I've been losing close family and loved at a mind numbing rate. all you can do is be as strong as you can manage for your family. you're in our thoughts Mike, with heavy hearts we're with you bud.
