Description
Wow! We got dem ships n boats in all sizes here, and those ducks look awfully familiar too!
Also, finally, the Genre is spot on: a skimmer and a submarine together! I had no idea that Balamer's Inner Harbor was such a collection of old ships n stuff!
Well what else can we say: These are next to the aquarium which is the building with the flashy colors. They have been here for some time and they are both 'famous' in their ways.

IIRC Jimmy Carter was on Torsk, but I could find no mention of him in the crew list. I remember taking a tour on board some years back. The guide was a youngish gal who was very knowledgeable and gave a good narration. At the end I asked, "You do know this thing is open on the bottom, righ?"
At which point her eyes got reallll big and she asked, "You are joking, right?" "Nope." "Uh-oh! They didn't tell me that!
At this point I had to relent and explained the boats often would 'ride the vents' to enable them to submerge quickly. Usually, in harbor especially, they bottom vents were closed. She looked a bit relieved over that. However, as we were leaving, I did catch her staring profoundly (love that word) at the deck... not quite certain what the status was. (He he!)
Never been on Chesapeake. Was always closed or out being worked on when the urge hit me. Now the aquarium! THAT is worth a visit!!
Enjoy; thanks for viewing.
"Blow sanitaries; vent inboard."

Very nice everyday scene! Like to see life around the world...excellent shot!!!
Would not have guessed by the thumb it was so much! A little large and had to scroll, but cool pic!
Dear TW, didn't know that about President Carter. Knew he was nuclear navy - figured he was on fast attack or a boomer. Maybe earlier or later. I think the light ship would be cool. I'll have to add that to my list. Great photo!!! And Great tour!!! Excellent work, Mistress Meredith, feared by e-bots far and near!!!
a wonderful colored and joyful capture full of life! ;o)
now this is a colorful little spot!
