Description
This is almost too busy to describe!
Some development going on the left foreground. To the right of that is the memorial to "Pride of Baltimore" and several crewmen who were lost in a freak storm. Pride II is still sailing the seas.
The original POB was a reconstruction of a Baltimore Clipper-type with schooner rig. The masts rake back at quite an angle to suggest speed. They were fast as well. Made excellent privateers IIRC (from reading).
Left water edge are two dinner/cruise vessels tied up where the old warehouses used to be. Across the street is where the McCormick spice factory once ruled. Too bad it's gone... for a $#@! parking lot.
Light Street pavilion is behind the cruise vessels, and continuing around is the Pratt Street pavilion with USS Constellation moored in front. More on her later.
Just in front of the cruise vessels, we see a two-masted schooner starting to back out into the main harbor. I believe this is a sightseeing ship.
A busy place. Glad I'm not driving.
Enjoy; thanks for viewing.
