Description

I had to work last night and tonight and I'm sure I'll be busy with my Dad's 60th surpise party tomorrow. He's finished his chemotherapy and radiation treatments and seems to be doing well. He'll get checked in August to see if his cancer has been stopped, shrunk, obliterated or has spread (which we hope is not the case). So, I wanted to throw up this experiment I did using Poser and Bryce. I think the combination of the two programs has vast potential, I just have to learn Bryce a little bit more. The camera's perspective was skewed in this, not on purpose mind you, at the time I couldn't figure out how to fix it. But I thought it gave our big friend a more frightening look. So, in lieu of me actually sitting down and creating something new, I submit for your viewing my pratice image. Please, offer as many suggestions, or critics as you like. That's the way I'll learn to improve. I thank you one and all and please, say a small prayer for my Dad as well, and wish him good and extended health. The grass terrain was made in Bryce by Flak. We're working on a project and this was a test render which was never used. I just postworked a bit around the legs.

A very happy Birthday to your dad, I'm sure he'll just love this surprise party, great idea!! I hope he combats this cancer and get rid it once and for all! I wish him the best!! Fantastic image here and it's larger than life! I have no help or advice to offer with Bryce - I can't work that program to save my life, it's very confusing to me! Just give me 4 orthogonal views and let me type in parameters and I'm happy! lol! I really envy those who can get the most out of it!Great experiment here and I like the high res image! Excellent work on this!!

Interesting experment. The land and skyscapes remind me of a watercolor - which is a good thing, but the poor lad in this image seems to have nowhere to really go, no real purpose for being there. Ah, such is the life of the experimental beasts. Happy birthday to your dad and God bless him.

Tell QuantumClaw that he's there to pound that stick on the viewer's head, lol. Excellent render here. I love the grass and POV. The camera gets skewed when you use the controls on the left side of the screen. I now go to top view and drag my camera where I want it. That way the camera's settings remain the same.
