Description
Now that experience and exposure to other artists has tempered my view to the better, I feel this is not quite up to gallery quality. Why? The shot was taken with sun behind. Taken in the afternoon or early evening all would be different. Sun obliterated the background and too much was cropped to get rid of the blowout. Sometime, perhaps, I will get a shot near sun setting and light from the foreground direction. Still..here 'tis part of the original image, as best I could muster with the overexposed background behind the bellows shed.
The bellows were used by the blacksmith or the farmer who had a small smithy shop of his own. This is part of life in the 1800's (and before) in rural America.
