Description
Our recent trip to Georgia(USA state)found us looking for food. The Continental Cafe was closed till later in the evening. Small town, trying to survive next to big enterprise moved into a lease in the neighboring state park. We would have liked to taste the food... The surfaces on the resturant balcony are mostly copper-like.
Carry cam (an old one): Minolta DiImage F100, set on auto. ISO 100, f4.1, 1/1000 sec(too fast really but on auto!), 82mm equivalent in 35mm thinking.

this is just my type of place, Tom! as a matter of fact, i'm havin' some coffee right now...with some thin orange cookies! yummy. anyway, Tom, whereabouts was this taken in Georgia? My brother and his wife live in St. Mary's, Georgia, and this place sure does look familiar! we went to this one restaurant with them and had sat upstairs outside on a balcony that looks a lot like this. the restaurant was overlooking the St. Mary's River. Your image is charming, quaint, and romantic, and i think it's a pity that places like this have such a hard time surviving. i know the chain restaurants and coffee shops (like Starbucks) make it difficult for them to stay in business. It's a beautiful photo and i sure do enjoy seeing places like this! fabulous capture!
Great looking terras, beautiful capture here !! Very good contrast as well, superb work here !! :o)
a fabulous and impressive composed b/w photography! ;o)
What a cool place! So full of character!!! It reminds me of Old postcards!! Great shot Tom!
I agree the shutter speed is to fast. Please consider shooting at aperature priority and have a setting at f8. Now this also means that in most cases you will be photographing with the aid of a tripod. 99.9% of what I do is all on a tripod and with aperature priority at ISO 100. This way I obtain tackt sharp images.
I love this!! Nice feel to it.
A wonderful and typical place seein in so many southern towns. Too bad you missed out on the food because I got a feeling it was really good! Same as this photo - really good.
