Description
Looking Back to Back. In the top picture #1, I'm looking down from where I'm looking up in picture #2. Does this make any sense?
Picture #1: The base of that red hill is about 9,200 ft elevation and a rest stop at the visitors center to acclimate.
Picture #2: I'm looking up to where my unplanned hike thru the Humu'ula trail had failed. I was close to the blue horizon when i ran out of gas (water) and had to turn back. Will try the hike again later but with more water. Aloha and thank you for viewing.

Wow, quite an adventurous spirit you exhibit here. I'd love to go on this hike with you, but will settle for viewing these fabulous vistas from the comfort of my air conditioned office. ;]

Fuel is essential, esp. on those dry places! Wonderful landscape here, what kind of flowers do we see here? They seem smaller than the famouse silverswords. Gorgeous shots!
