Description
Where is Humu'ula Trail? I had heard about this trail but I have never seen this trail before until a little bird showed me the way. From my last post "Back to Back View" , I was taking some scenic pictures on that little red hill. While taking those pictures, I heard some bird sounds behind me. I turned my camera around and tried to take this birds picture. I got two shots as seen below. The 3rd shot was his rear as he was trying to run away. Disappointed, I took my final shot of the whole rock area where this little bird was. I did not know I had this bird in the final picture until I got home. He was showing me the way to this "Humu'ula Trail" that leads all the way to the top of Mauna Kea. Where is Humu'ula Trail? You can say, "A Little Bird Told Me" where. Beautiful and cute birdie !!! You captured him so well, amazing work !!! Looks like it was shading itself from the sun behind that rock :o) The last shot is very cool, looks indeed just like he was pointing to the trail in the background !! :o)
It's a California quail, in Hawaii!!!!! Yeah, looks like the top photos are female and the bottom one is a male, great capture sharky!!!!

dude!!! this is awesome!!! the top two are excellent but i love the larger bottom shot! for some reason the way it's standing there and the shape of the feathers around the head reminds me of a helmet...like something out of Star Wars...heh heh!!! outstanding captures!!!
