Description
Looking down the hill from yesterday's posting.
This probably could do with some cropping, but then we would lose the overall impression of the steepness of the road, and how isolated these buildings are. These appear to be two duplex stone cottages which I believe were combined to form two single-family homes. They were definitely lived in when I last saw them.
Things to note: postbox in place, ivy all over the north wall, fire hydrant, drive off to the right, etc. The blue tarp looks new. My guess is that someone wants these empty but not falling apart. In that case I wonder if the park commission is planning on preserving them?
What we can't see from this angle is that they are practically on a small cliff at the back. The only thing back there is a drop of 20 or so feet to the area by the paper mill.
We'll be poking around a bit more. Found some really interesting, IMO, stuff a bit aways from here... but in plain view!
Enjoy; thanks for viewing.
One thing I've noted. These are originally BIG images. We lose some details fitting them for Renderosity.

Outstanding shot!! It reminds me of the mts in North Carolina!!
Great photo!
I like it and it reminds some beautiful place somewhere in Portugal (where I live) !
Dear TW, you always prsent fodder for my memories. I once went from LA to Seattle and never drove one foot of freeway or even four lane road. Nothing but little two lane blacktops like this. It's a very different picture of America than what whizzes by on the super slabs. This is a great shot of the character of our nation that still exists - if you seek it out! AND - I keep scrolling back up - it's got a Meredith feel about it - I just can't figure out exactly what to do. If I think of something, I'll IM you to see if I can borrow it! Excellent work!!! Love, Meredith
Nice Pic! Reminds me of things I've seen on the backroads of the Mother Lode area of California.
This is fantastic....excellent shot!!!
bell'inquadratura ed interessante scelta
Very good light in this pic. Excellent shot!!!
unfortunately in this area there are many such places that people still have to live in them!
wonderful scene and very impressive building with the blue cloth on the roof! wondering! but you don't have to crop it, you only could resize the shot to 80 percent! than we have a unit impression, because now I have to scroll to see all parts! ;o)
