Description
*Felt the wet sky above,
around,
inside,
small pond
no doors,
all sounds just vanish
into something undefined
but strong.
Within there's light,
just doubts still come...
The slipping drops
wrap my skin up,
within this pond,
there are still sharks:
I'm not afraid,
I don't feel lost,
I'll keep my promise unbroken
and further on,
day after day,
in my wet pond
I'll find your ray:
there won't be sharks,
just voices gold,
what I can make
is to be yours.

While Italy's under snow menace, (that's why my internet was messy these past days and I couldn't be around),I decided to go with my Stef and some other people to Genova Aquarium, one of the most important in the entire world, today. The occasion was to bring there some paraplegic kids and it has been awesome to share with them the magnificent vision of so many marvels of Nature swimming, showing their beauty and royal moves around, in an atmosphere of purely enchanting silence and light games.
I have many pictures, but it's never easy to take good ones at pools, cos you can't use flashes nor heavy lights and everyone flips around makin everything even more uneasy. This is no really good picture, but after all none of mine are, so ;)...
I decided for this one (many others are gonna be one day in my website... but thinkin of my times next update is gonna be in four months,as the latest one is so recent ;)) cos I find sharks very elegant, unfairly hated and fascinating. And this poem was quitly fitting, though I wrote it about 2 years ago :)
I have many works to see I know, I'll cope with everything tomorrow :) and on Monday.
Now is Sanremo Festival, you know ;) (this can be understood only by Italians!;)) and for teh very first time I am liking it.
So see you tomorrow and.. let's be friendly :)

You can never be sure of your friends, only of your enemies. Enemies never disappoint you.
This is an impressive expression.
This is very dramatic. It's really coming out at you! I study biology, so I have a fascination with animals. Great!
VOTEVOTEVOTE*******What Fear The Shark Very beautiful Very beautiful Photo The Blue Reflex Of the Water Beautiful Release BRAVAAAAAA EXCELLENT """WORK""" *BY
awesome
beautiful shot; another proof of what those little cam's in the right hands are capable of...
Beautiful poem and excellent photo post work. It reminds me of a scene from a movie! :-D
damn those are nasty looking creatures!!!!!!!!
Fearsome; but, they do have a necessary place in the world. Excellent capture!
Great photo work. You captured the essence of this awesome beauty of a perfect sea predator. Beautiful work. Stay warm...-Peace :-)
I know there's no postwork here, but I find the colour here really intriguing, as if all the yellow has suddenly departed to leave metallic shades. Friendship is not a concept I'd associate with fish of any kind though; some gather in schools sure, but that's safety in numbers. I'd associate it way more with mammals such as dolphins, whom you can at least form a relationship with ;-)
Very good capture and I like the colors - make the shot more expressive.
i thouht we were ,i love you, to eat you,lol lovly image mel
terrific capture and your foto reminds me of a comic strip here and some aligators are always trying to get a zebra to be friends with them as your shark. very caring of you to accompany the children to the aquarium
Amazing shot ,excellent shark's pose ,One of your best from your gallery!!!!!!!
Wonderfull image Mel...as always your poser friend Z~Bra finaly made it here lol I'm always at the bottom of your long fan list he he he later my dear hope things are well for you and yours bye for now...Z
Awesome!
Very interesting image. Great choice of subject matter for illustrating that theme. Sharks are fierce killers, but they often travel in groups. Interesting that even such a confident creature chooses to congregate. I like the picture a lot because the two sharks illustrate passive and aggressive states really well. Super post! (As expected from you :)
Looks like I am a little late again! Seems alot has already been said about this excellent photo. Hope you are doing well!
Cool pic and atmosphere happy that i not do swiming there :-) that big guy looks really dangerous
wonderful wonderful words in your poem and very fitting to the subject. A very cool shot you managed to get of this animal.. fascinating and scary at the same time. "Why Can't We Be Friends?" LOL .. yes you are right. I actually recently saw a documentary where some divers, dived down to places with lots of big white sharks .. but withour oxygen tanks (holding their breath) and this actually made a difference it seemed, and they where not that aggresive (though once in a while one appered who would like to "test" what those diveres were .. by taking a little bite :-) Ok, sorry for the long comment. Cool picture. Excelent work!
Tr impressionnant !!!
you had verrrrry difficult shooting conditions, and despite that, took one helluva a photo!!! Sounds like such a wonderful day to spend with the kids, and i'll be they loved seein' this scary guy!!!!!! your poetry is touching and beautiful as your lovely spirit and soul!!!!! peace!

Absolute excellence!! :)
Always amazing me with your deep words and images :) Excellent Meli.
A powerful shot! Nice grainy photo. Funny I've also been creating an undersea pic at the same time, but quite different ;-)
An excellent photo, Meli. Love the grain and the tones, the compo is wonderful, too. Bravo! :)
Cool photo, Meli! Yes, sharks are very misunderstood. They are usually just curious. The trick I've found is to not act afraid and if they come too near, prod them or drop the head of a lobster and they will go for that and you can swim away. They ARE scary when I'm diving and they come to investigate.
