Description
*Felt the wet sky above,
around,
inside,
small pond
no doors,
all sounds just vanish
into something undefined
but strong.
Within there's light,
just doubts still come...
The slipping drops
wrap my skin up,
within this pond,
there are still sharks:
I'm not afraid,
I don't feel lost,
I'll keep my promise unbroken
and further on,
day after day,
in my wet pond
I'll find your ray:
there won't be sharks,
just voices gold,
what I can make
is to be yours.

While Italy's under snow menace, (that's why my internet was messy these past days and I couldn't be around),I decided to go with my Stef and some other people to Genova Aquarium, one of the most important in the entire world, today. The occasion was to bring there some paraplegic kids and it has been awesome to share with them the magnificent vision of so many marvels of Nature swimming, showing their beauty and royal moves around, in an atmosphere of purely enchanting silence and light games.
I have many pictures, but it's never easy to take good ones at pools, cos you can't use flashes nor heavy lights and everyone flips around makin everything even more uneasy.This is no really good picture, but after all none of mine are, so ;)...
I decided for this one (many others are gonna be one day in my website... but thinkin of my times next update is gonna be in four months,as the latest one is so recent ;)) cos I find sharks very elegant, unfairly hated and fascinating. And this poem was quitly fitting, though I wrote it about 2 years ago :)
I have many works to see I know, I'll cope with everything tomorrow :) and on Monday.
Now is Sanremo Festival, you know ;) (this can be understood only by Italians!;)) and for teh very first time I am liking it.
So see you tomorrow and.. let's be friendly :)

Fantastic, powerful and just very slightly scary shot, they are beautiful and graceful creatures, seen the odd thresher and backing shark in my time, some a little to close for comfort.

Pretty scary atmosphere with a fascinating shot. Great grainy texture. Adds to the effect. Almost like an old movie. I like this.

I love sharks too! They are noble ancients animals with such a beautiful shape, and amazing way to move in water! Impressive shot - great composition with the shadows. The colours I like too a lot! :-)
I just watched a movie last night, which is about two divers were killed by sharks in the ocean after diving and not be picked up by the ship.... Well, i think i will stay away from them. But awesome photo here!!

There you go agian, always unique and surprising. You've made a nice thing here out of my biggest fear...dear... So elegant thay are with thier jagged razor sharp teeth. I just want to cuddle one. Seriously though, your poetry is beautiul, and it's no wonder you can see the beauty in these creatures with a heart like yours. I don't doubt this day will always be remembered by those kids becouse of you.
Unfair doubt, bottled up emptiness, quizzical scoots to dodge a charging auto, the life of the derelict is of no interest to a shark. It takes an old monk to scurry the pigeons so you can enter the aquarium and meet the truly poor. Frugal in life they are now captive.

L'aquario di Genova uno dei posti pirognosi da fotografare, tra poca luce, pesci in movimento e riflessi vari. Inoltre, a differenza delle pellicole tradizionali, quando si lavora a 400 ASA con il digitale il disturbo introdotto terribile. Ma qui tutto si "coalizza" per ottenere una foto davvero ottima. Complimenti !!!!
Sicuramente questo personaggio per la sua forma di essere non avrmolti amici!!! Questa foto stai tecnicamente molto bene presa data le avverse condizioni di illuminazione!!! Aumentando la sensibilitaffinchsi incrementi il contrasto si aumenta anche il volume del grano con quello che si perde un po' di definizione, ma questa foto a mantenuto una qualitdi immagine molto buona. Eccellente lavoro ed esperienza Meli!!!!

I have always thought 'if I could be a sea creature, a shark is what I would be'. I really like this shot Meli... sharks are such grand and magnificent creatures. "Why Can't We Be Friends?" Well.... basically because of those oversized sharp teeth. No matter how many times we sit down to discuss some serious issues, it always seems you're about to eat me ;) The grainy quality is actually a great thing here. The agnle and shape of the shark is pretty akward... almost as if it's not real. Maybe this one would be good in black and white as well.
