Hi everyone!
I can't believe its been 2 months since my last post, but I have been keeping track with the galleries and forums the best I can.
I have been working on this one off and on since november, the longest project I have worked on in a long time - I've "finished" it about six times, but kept going back because I wasnt satisfied with the image.
So, here it is - it takes place in the same world as my last image "The Two Kings", I'm hoping to make an ongoing series (thanks to a little inspiration from flak's gallery:)
Everything modeled in wings, terrains, materials, and rendering in Bryce, more textures and colors added in photoshop.

Stunning work Jordan and well worth the wait, I love the work your doing in interpreting Tolkiens world with your own unique style. I look forward to the series. What about getting some of the images onto a calendar or something? Keep pushing them at every opportunity, you have great creative style and I am sure you would be superb at Illustrating for fantasy novels & game art!

This is why fantasy is so frustrating, because you make it look so easy and it's not! I've been toying with scenes like this and I can't do it. I'm glad you can though. Perfect picture.
