Description
Autumn will soon bring us misty mornings
A slight chill crisp to the air
Sapphire skies shining ere so brightly
Breathtaking brillance, everywhere,
Autumn brings us...
Painted hillsides
Colors of foliage ablaze
Red, yellow, green and scarlet
Set against a purple haze...
Oak trees that are gowned in gold
Pine trees still green in color
Summer has lost her lush tropical flowers
But Autumn brings us
Mums and aster
Black-eyed Susan's and cattails tall
Frosty evening's...
Warmth of the fireplace
And a full moon, that gold glimmers all
Fall brings us a fruitful harvest
A lavish beauty of the land
Blessings from the day that unfolds
Gifts from Autumn
And it's most gracious hand~

Stay strong, I know life can be so unfair and hard....because I saw with my own eys, I stayed 6 weeks near to my brother in hospital and I lost him after a sad fight in an age from 42...I wish you strength and a lot of love, we all need that so much.....and I hope you mum will make it...thats why I always say, please don't make a fight or be angry for a long time, because what today is can be end tomorrow....hugz xxx
It's a bitter-sweet season -- Autumn -- and your words are beautiful. We move my mom into a nursing home today, forced there by advanced alzheimers. Courage and strength to you my friend. We will carry on.
Your friends are with you a big hugz..
I loved the pic, I wish I knew who had taken it :) You have my empathy re: your Mom. As you know we're going through some rough times with my Mom who is in her final months of cancer. So I understand how tired and powerless one feels in these situations HUG
Lovely poem :) yes. how well that tired feeling is known. ((hugs for strength my friend))
Beautiful words from a beautiful person. Our love never vanishes is the lesson I learned when my father passed away on June 1, 2001. We watched him go from a vibrant, healthy man, to a very ill, and a very much in pain, person in the matter of a couple of years. Peace be with you, and your mom in this time. We hope the best for both of you.
Very beautiful image and words to match. When life is so painful, the beauty helps. My heart feels for you and your mom. Hugs to your both. :o) CC
All the best to you and your mother - keep your chin up! We are all thinking of you. Peace.

Getting old is the pits, youth is wasted on the young. I know, I was there once..hehe! Anyway, a really outstanding poem here Susan, Captures the essence of fall beautifully! Words don't do it justice! (at least my words don't..lol). You and your Mom are in my heart and thoughts! Wishes to her better health! Dave :^)

Beautiful poems and beautiful image !
I really wonder how you can create such a wonderful poetic harvest painting while these thoughts about your mom are always present in your mind... thinking about myself Mhm... on the other hand: When I am really under pressure I sometimes badly need to do a moody, sunny, warm render image, just to free myself.
These words are really beautiful, you certainly have a way with words Susan....... The need for such thoughts to help with your worries, a wonderful verse.............
