[Thank you all for reading and commenting on my poetry! This is a very exciting time for me and I would like others to post their writings, too!]
Pain
I feel your pain as no other
Because I love you so intensely
And our souls have danced before.
I want to take you away from this
To anywhere in the world to play.
Theatre in London; Cafes of Paris;
Shopping in 'Frisco; Dining in Japan.
Funny, I recall doing this with another...
I will give you silk sheets to caress your body,
The finest vintages to tease your palate.
To see you paint in sunlit gardens of color,
Receive your spontaneous, beautiful smile...
This alone will be my reward!
In time the pain would fade with memory
And the uneasy dreaming would cease.
But I cannot give you all you need
So my world is a watercolour in the rain
For you deserve only the happiness of life--
So much potential--if you would see it!
Your stability is necessary to my life
Just as my cavalier attitude is to yours.
I want to hold you tight enough,
Touch your hand...face, softly enough...
Because something tells me that
Little-Boy-Blue needs to be loved
But not by me...I'm not the one...sorry...

Poor "boy blue" ... I feel for him ... to have the prospect of happiness offered then taken away [even if he's unaware - as most blue boys are - that there is for him some hope for salvation] A very moving and subtley complex poem. v
