Description
Midnight, on the water...
I saw, the oceans daughter....
Call me a sap, but I always love those lyrics, because I knew I was in love with the oceans daughter.
Been wanting to do this image a long time, I saw the Sea turtle at the DAZ3D store, but until recently, couldn't afford it.
I got it!
hope you enjoy it, I will be doing a couple more like it, eventually.

fascinating image. great lighting and substance to the water. I suppose she has gills or something so she can breathe underwater? Like I said... fascinating.
Amazing ! a beautiful surprising and praise worthy image--mezmerizing ! and serene
Excellent use of the turtle! I love the lighting and the distant shipwreck! :-) Nice work.
Lovely image, great concept. :) The composition is perfect and you achieved the underwater look wonderfully! :) The only nitpick would be the surface wave action, far too linear and to short a wavelength (too little distance between waves). Overall though, still very beautiful! :)
Great concept and beautifully done. One of your best! Vote!
Most excellent!...the rhythm of these words is expressed beautifully in the image...it is like hearing with the eyes!
Very nice.. I think this is a great interpretation!!!! =) Wonderful job!!!
Thanks gang! I agree Fiontar, I noticed it while I was rendering that the waves looked to "Linear". It was late when it finished rendering, I am re-rendering it, will post update. Good eye!
ANother cool thing is to add a caustic effect to the water...that is a postwork thing....like in photoshop or paint shop pro but you can filters for free that do it...can't remember where... :O( but it gives a very reflective light look to it... excellent image, she looks so peaceful and everything looks graceful... EXCELLENT and BEAUTIFULL!!! :O)
I like this image a lot. Reminds me of this movie I saw when I was a wee lad. I still struggle with achieving the underwater look and I think this was done to good effect here.
Thanks folks! I just updated it according to Fiontar's suggestion, I like it better! I will have to check out the caustic effect. One thing I wanted more prominent was the shadows creating shafts, got it a little, but not as much as I would have liked.
a fantastic scene. i like your idea. !!!!!!! #:O) !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well done, and it's always wonderful to be able to get that image out of your head and onto the screen. Very cool, and she looks like she's having a great time...

Nemo should have been so lucky.
WOW! thanks for directing/linking us to these. Awesome underwater scene!
This is like turtley excellent dude! A lovely image, the blue on blue colouration and soft detail is very relaxing - I like this!
I like this one, reminds me of some of the fairy tales I used to read as a child. The subtle shipwreck in the background and the light beams from the turtle are excellent touches.
Fantactic composition and concept! I like the scale! ;) Bravo!
J´ai fait "presque" ça!" Je n´ai pas chevauché ( surtout avec cette élégance!) mais j´ai nagé avec des tortues GEANTES a Borneo. Une expérience fabuleuse!
Love the mood here. I am not usually a poser fan because I very rarely see anything original but this is marvelous.
This is a very beautiful image! Excellent work of art! Five stars!
