Description
I was in the attic today and turned away for a moment then stepped through the sheetrock ceiling below left dangling on a 2 X 4. Pain...the kind of pain a man really hates.... but now I laugh and am so pleased that no one was there to see that silly step that caused my fall...men can really do some stuff can't we guys. I have been and am still greatly blessed in every area of my life...even through pain... it builds one's character if you allow it. Peace be with you.

I am especially glad that roadrunner69 was not standing there to watch me fall through the ceiling. I would never live that down.
I know the "embarassment" of being consumed by my problems, when I know that 95% of the world would probably gladly trade places with me, with all the blessings my life has had. But God knows this, too. He knows that we are self-centered creatures, feeling pain that is real to us, even it's if small pain in the grand scheme of things. Slowly we learn his grace and his ways, slowly seeing beyond our own noses. He does not look on us who are moving toward Him stumbling with disdain, but with the hopefulness of a parent watching a toddler take first uneasy steps, arms outstretched. We are infants in infinity, with an eternity to learn.
