Description
About 2 weeks ago, I was priviliged to see Wynonna Judd on Oprah for the second time. She spoke of her weight issues all steming from her personal identity problems. Anyway, it was a
moving hour of television, largely, at least for me, because it's very difficult to be transparent with the world as your audience. I think this is especially difficult for celebrities who depend upon the "world's" view of them for their livelihood.
At the end of the show, after everyone was wiping their eyes, Wynonna sang the song ..."I Want to Know What Love Is". It was powerful and if it has crossed your mind that this is not a song for a Country artist to sing, then abolish that thought because it does not sound Country in the least. Her vocals are astounding and
will send chills up your spine.
The digital painting was referenced from a photo from her latest album. I brought my pencil sketch outline over into PSP8 and began to paint. I had also done a complete pencil sketch using H, HB and 2B pencils on Watercolor paper.
I hope you are pleased with the results. God bless you all and have a wonderful day!...Cheryl
I WANT TO KNOW WHAT LOVE IS
Lyrics
by FOREIGNER
Sung by Wynonna from her CD entitled
"What The World Needs Now Is Love"
Gotta take a little time
A little time to think things over
I better read between the lines
In case I need it when I'm older
This mountain I must climb
Feels like a world upon my shoulders
Through the clouds I see love shine
It keeps me warm as life grows colder
In my life there's been heartache and pain
I don't know if I can face it again
Can't stop now, I've traveled too far
To change this lonely life
Chorus
I want to know what love is
I want you to show me
I want to feel what love is
I know you can show me
I'm gonna take a little time
A little time to look around me
I've got nowhere left to hide
It looks like love has finally found me
In my life there's been heartache and pain
I don't know if I can face it again
I can't stop now, I've traveled too far
To change this lonely life
Chorus

Cheryl, another fantastic job done here my friend, it is good to see you painting again, and i hope all is going well at your end.The work on the hat is absoutly execellent as are the lips and the inside eyes, actually the inside eyes are perfect , the lashes look a little heavy, but that could be what you saw and correct, all around this is execellent and very well done...........John
Outstanding! Really museum quality portrait and the song lyrics really enhance the imagery! Grace and peace in Jesus Creative Name!

Naomi's liver is my guide. Lovely ladies those Judd's and their mountain tunes lead off further. Ravens and cardinals flit through the without drawing a stare. You sure got that chin which could be on a storm trooper.
