Description
My first work with high elevation Terragen topography. Many thanks to Lutz for relaying the information I needed to get a better understanding of this process; and, how to get started creating other world terrains. His version of this image is certainly much better for many reasons including the POV, the color, and the atmosphere.

I think I would of named this Dune! Lol!! Its totally amazing Bob!! I can't believe this terrain! Looks like Mars or Aracus! Very well done too! VVVVV :)
What a stunning change of pace. I'm a wee bit speechless. V
Well Done... What really captures my eyes is the terrain and detail around the out side. And of course the great haze work..
I adore the smoothness of the detail and especially sand. [I am not sure that the pole of Mars is also prominent :-) ]
Very dramatic perspective & fascinating terrain. Light, shadow, & atmosphere all work perfectly here to create a high level of realism. Very powerful image.
Cool image, it really looks hugh. Great work with the surfaces.
Do all you 'terragen' peoples meet at early a.m. hours? .... lol.... this is the third EXCELLENT work I've seen in the past 10 minutes .... well done.
Hi Bob! You've done everything right here! ;-) I really like your interpretation of this terrain. Excellent surfaces!
Your interpretation is even more detailed than mine, congrats, Bob!
Hey Bob, are you lutzed? I like a lot textures and shadows!!
This is a really interesting interpretation. I agree with ariz.
Your rendering is perfect! However, and although it is a Mars terrain, I would give it another name (see Snow Angel and bebert), because of the lack of snow.
I think that the way you make it gives an "animal" look to this terrain. Nothing to compare with Mars, but a pure creative work. I would call it the Nautile Rock ;-))
This is an excellent image Bob ! The perspective and POV are excellent and the surfaces superb !
agree with christianfly. i don't know why but it looks .. alive ;)
boah .. it's heavy .. .outstanding composition.. love it !
Perfectly agree with Christian, it looks like a shell, or a nautile ... but in giant ! Excellent job ! Excellent job ! Pov and surface are excellent !

Very interesting landscape. The smooth features are very contrasting with the rest of the landscape. I just might have to do one of these mars pics myself :). Nice post.
A very strange but, beautiful twist to the Mars ice cap...nice work!!
