Description
"Rhiannon is the Celtic protectress of horses and other animals, especially those who serve mankind. The horse and dog are two of her sacred animals.
As the "horse goddess," she also symbolizes the characteristics associated with horses, ie. vitality, independence, and intuitive understanding."
(Exerpt from website: http://www.fantasyhorses.homestead.com/Rhiannon.html)
This, of course, is not only a tribute to the goddess Rhiannon, but also to R'osity's own Rhiannon. She has been a huge inspiration to me, both in art and words. So this one's for you Rhi, thank you! :)

WOW! Amanda, this is just absolutely stunning ... I have been a fan of your beautiful work for some time now, you never cease to create such beautiful, beautiful images ... and this, well this is simply incredible, and I am really touched by your words ...thank you so much hon, I will treasure this always ... I've seen alot of images of my namesake, but this one is the most beautiful I've ever seen. BIG, BIG HUGS :-)
Oooh, an Irish druid priestess in modern silky cashmere...love it. Those horsies are the cat's meow, all wonderfully posed and ready to lend such magical support to our lady priestess. The rocky ruins overburdened with moss, the long grass at the lady's hem - working so well with the gold design - are great supporting mechanisms. I must admit your frame is clever and well chosen for this piece, as well. Good job, Lydian! : ) Snapper
