Description
...inspired by a greetingcard I saw the other day (with a picture taken last year in Denmark). Yes, it can look like this in my country, but not every winter. We haven't had much snow in my region so far, then it's a good thing you can dream in Vue :)
***********************
Vue 4 with a mix of Xfrog and Vue trees. Heavy render, 6 hrs. in "Final" - in "Ultra" the estimated time was 30 hrs. - didn't want to wait for that :)
Some postwork in Photoshop for colour/levels correction, and this: The "icy water" is made from two Vue renders with different water textures, then composited in PS.

Like the amount of detail you put in this one, cool image
Truly awesome. It looks like a photo. But...brrr. We are just now getting a dusting of snow. St.Louis has had mild winters for a couple of years but it used to look like your picture, minus the creek. Wonderful scene and great composition.
Lovely winter mood with such brightness in the light. I liked it very much.
Excellent work! Beautiful image. Great colors and composition!
Stunning!! A white dream!! Simply stunning! :)
Beautiful image and would make a lovely post card or print. Very well done.
This is cool!! Excellent work.
Nice blue.... beautiful image. It does look like a postcard or greeting card. We have no snow here. The last time it snowed here was in 1975, but it melted soon after.
Excellent light work like the contrast of shadows on the branches. The blue tinge adds to the image. Well done.
Wow, i love that. Wonderful tones and a fantastic composition. Brilliant.
This is gorgeous; love the bluish look you get when it is very cold and crisp. Excellent image.
Very well done. The tree branches make wonderful designs with the interplay of blue and white. Excellent!
Beautiful!!! I love the tones and blue color. Excellent job.
Really gorgeous winter mood ... use of trees is excellent! Love it!
Wonderful image! Fantastic lighting and colors and the snow is excellent. Very well done!
:-o WOW!
Fantastic work , the lighting and composition look superb:-)
Very nice image. The snow effects are great. :o)
Thank you so much for your wonderful response to this work - its very much appreciated. I rarely just "rush my work" and of course not in this case either, nice to see the effort paid off. Though I do professional computer graphics work from time to time, I still consider myself very much an "amateur" - but in the true sense of this word: For the love of things :) Thanks again!
Love the details and the coloring. A beautiful scene!
Oh this is beautiful! Love the colors!
