Well worth the effort in rendertime and crashes - excellent image - Well done!! (You know what they say - imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!)
Beautiful! I love the grass with wildflowers. And the lighting is wonderful.
I haven't seen the original inspiration for this piece, so can't compare, but I think you have done a very good job with this scene. I agree with Lingrif - the ground-cover vegetation and the lighting are outstanding. My only quibble is with the bark texture on the trees - it doesn't seem true to life for this kind of conifer.
beautiful light and composition. very sweet indeed.
Good work in foreground grass, it's very realistic. Bravo!
What really caught my eye was the rocks on the hill at left; wonderful detail, lovely image as always, BB.
Excellent image. The blue flowers are a great touch and connect nicely with the sky.
Wonderful scenery! It somehow reminds reminds me of a place in the Austrian alps where I go sometimes. Well done! :)
You captured another vision than that of the inspirational pic... like later in the season, (grass is older... )and chose to keep verticality for trees . filiation is not that obvious and I find it a great original image!
Beautiful! I love the lighting and the mood very much!
I love it!! A
Wonderful image! Excellent light and vegetation. Very well done!
Excellent image and lighting , well done:-)
Beautiful pic!!!! I love the grass!!! The lighting is outstanding as well.
Excellent lighting and over all scene very well done.
excellent composition! beautiful work!
Excellent image. The plant work and light is wonderful.
Great lighting and stunning grass details.
Very unusual scene in Vue gallery - bravos for "nonstandard" vegetation - especially grass - how many polygons ? Excellent!
Thanks for all your kind comments - I really appreciate them. The scene wasn't that polygon heavy, about 7 mio. By far the most polygons come from the trees, and not (foreground) grasscover, which is made with about 1200 grass objects adding up to 1 mio. polys.
