I love these kinds of shots, because of the texture, the play of shadow and light, there's another aspect at play here. Notice tiny faces of ancients that trod the steps present? Look carefully.

I had to look at this image for a minute before I realized that is was an image of stairs! At first I thought it was a stone wall! Love the POV here!
