Description
If only a tree could speak.

Made a model in Poser and imported, made a depth render. Carved the depth render projection into two Z layers (one distressed and material is correspondingly stained with the burn/dodge tool in Photoshop) of a block -of -wood -terrain, then interwoven with vine -terrain and leaf -terrain, add lights, trees, and voila.

This is quite cool, and quite disturbing :-)
Outstanding render of a concept. Great textures to set it off.
Brilliant and wonderful one!!!
very expressive. fine mats
superb work all the way!!!
My gosh, you must be the only person who is continually coming up with new and "VERY" inventive ways to create new techniques. I read how you made this but unfortunately it is all Greek to my extremely limited knowledge of whatever it is that you said. Therefore I will leave the expertise in your hands alone! So whatever it is that you did to create this render, I think is is Excellent! Not only excellent, but it gets my vote.
A recipe for quality... I specially dig the force of the emerging figure. Goes right perfectly along with the mats you used. Again a mini visual tut.
[Excellent].great idea.
et voil the mastery is evident ;0]
(grins) Aye, depth renders rule! Good work, I love the woody material look.
Not so greek to me, but quite inventive. Have you ever tried a wrinkled soft leather, with this technique? I think it would look great!
oh god, this is really original! love the technique u used, and the result is superb! great work !!
I have not to comment after Stefano (Doublecrash) he sees art just like me, so everytime he wrote and way better than me all that I am feeling too ;) Wonderful work :)
Extra-ordinary! The idea itself is special, and then the skill needed to realise it in "the flesh", as it were. A joy to behold.
Extra impressive too! It's kinda creepy! Spectacular lighting and textures! Excellent!!!
Fantastic!
Very very interesting artwork ! Excellent composition ! Very creative ! Congratulations !
Another very cool example of your expertise in Bryce. Great textures, figure, everything...Excellent once again...
and voila another masterpiece - it sound very easy how you do this, but i think it is not really easy to get such a fine result - just awesome. see you
