This is addy, one member of this community whose awesome face has always deeply fascinated me.
I can't claim to know her well unlike what happened with previously portraited ones but I am an easthete and so, a beautiful face like hers was naturally a subject that I have loved to draw. I choose a melancholic, intense kind of expression, for emphazise the beauty of her facial features and eyes. Go to her gallery and you'll see more of her as she uses mainly her face for creating artworks.
Hope I pleased you dear :)
Have all a nice day and enjoy :)

I love the look in her eyes here, Meli... a beautiful and very emotional work. :O)
I had already seen some photos of her... I think you got her very well in this portrait. I like the "deep thought" expression of her face.
yep- i've seen her a few times too- quite a lovely face she has- you have captured her in your drawing! :]
Great portrait once again. Your drawing skills are very well executed...
Beautifully done!!!!!!
Beautiful expression Meli! I went to her gallery, and I think you portraited her very well...
Gee...real easy on the Eye, the Drawing and the Subject. The Narration has an Enchantment all Your own.
well done Meli! great choice this melancolic style!
I love her dreaming eyes. The mood is perfectly catched.. Beautiful work. :)
Beautiful work, Meli!! She has a look of sweetness and sadness. You have captured her spirit so very well. Brava!!
Gorgeous portrait Meli! So much in your unique style that portrays emotion perfectly hugs Thank you for sharing :)
beautiful portrait, beautiful subject. Cool stuff, I am amazed at Your drawing ability. -Peace :-)
So much tenderness ...
oh! yes, she is very beautiful as well as your work! very interesting face that in same time represent sadness, sweetness and dreaming thoughts...
It's hard to write comments under your drawings without being repetitive: they are always beautiful, full of good feelings and made to pull outside the real essence of your friends. Great work! :-)
I agree with gab Meli. I just adore your drawing style and am always happy to see what you are up to. Great work as always Meli... thank you for sharing your amazing talents with us yet again.
I can definitely see what draw you to portrait her :) And as always you have done a great job. Always adding something, a pose or something in the eye maybe to make it special. Great job :)
Lands with borders have no claim. Maybe she cannot sing and has no music. Passing through the checkpoint into the ancient land the antiquities survive as Lotto millionaires in sextuplets of two letter form. Beauty can have a figment that is refreshed by environment.
Your hair work is amazing..I love it,fantastic stuff again!!!
Your model is beautiful, and your style is so recognizable . Excellent work, Melania !
Beautiful drawing meli! The hair as always is excellent, but what captured my attention this time, is those eyes. So simple, yet so penitrating, all I can do is stare right back. Great work!
What a beautiful, angel face!
WOW, u r fantastic and you have a beautiful model.
She seems so sad. However you did a wonderful peice of bringing her to life. Nicely done Meli!
yep.. I choose kind of a melancholic view to bring some chnage.. and I had to find a way to match the little sentence above that I was havin in mind.. so I tried for once.. a little saddening portrait for doing a twist :) Her eyes are a gaze to look at :)
You can do something I can't here Meli, and your work is so different from my own that I would seriously struggle to give you helpful criticism: but I feel you've succeeded in conveying the mood you aimed for here - so much emotion is accurately captured in her eyes and of course you're well practiced at this. Human figures and portraits in pencil are your fortMeli :-) Hugs :-)
A brief reflection on your portraits: A portrait to me must be an image with particular evocations of a persons personality, subjectively apprehended and expressed by means of drawing (using for instance a graffito pencil or other materials). From this definition, I can add that a portrait cannot not be a mere exact reproduction of a face, because if you transfer, if you try to copy only the shape of a three-dimensional face made of flesh and bone to other material (chalk, graffito, etc.)on a bi-dimensional support you are reducing your creative act to the easiest level, you are reducing your creative work into mere technique of resemblance, into mere illusionism. A portrait, in my opinion, it is the models face form transformed by the effect of that person on you, by the meanings you want to transmit about that person and by the meanings we can infer from your apprehension. A portrait causes me deception when my intelligence finds only formal recognition of a real face. So, I admit that there must be a non objective element, a disquieting ingredient between the model and the artist. When we draw a portrait we are also portraying ourselves (our intuition or knowledge of the other, our filtering of someone our interrogative posture towards the model) using the best of our skills. Form is the visible shape of content, said the painter Ben Shahn. So, the form of a portrait must call forth for a psychological content and that content depends of your knowledge of the model and of yourself. :)
but this is exactly what I do with portraits :) I never replicate the face.. I translate a feeling the person gives to me and a beautiful face can have a deep impact on me, and especially the eyes of someone like addy. Personality is something very hard to know well.. how many people you think you know you can claim to really get? :) I would never draw a persona thatdoesn't speak to my senses loud.. and in my senses, heart and brain are included ;)
WOW!!!!!!!! Excellent technique... wonderful work Meli. Congratulations!!!!
