wow, wonderful drawing! the personality just flows from those strokes. i heard it said that good portraitists cannot escape portraying themselves in each likeness, if you look at the Mona Lisa, can you see Leonardo's face? i'd be happy with just a random pile of your strokes - what i like are the grainy, untamed strokes of your chalk. here they find good use!

You captured the melancholic mood very well, those eyes are far away. I really like the expression in this portrait, and a great gift it is.

what a dreamy portrait - i love it - hmmm if i may say a few words, no critic, but try to get your pencil strokes not cross over try to get it in one direction (the part from the left shoulder to the middle)- and another little thing - in a drawing, especially a pencil drawing, it is not only important what you can see, more important is what you make the eye belive to see - so you dont have to outline for example the lips - try to do it with a few shadows on markant points, and voila it look more real --- never the less you show a great talent for drawing, go on that way --- the emotion you catched in this portraid is amazing you couldnt make it better. see you uwe
