Strata 3D "Getting Started" Tutorial by Rodrigo Duarte
Although I'm using Strata for over 2 years now, when I saw this tutorial by the well known Strata user Rodrigo Duarte, I just had to give it a try. There are many great methods and techniques he shows indetail regarding all aspects of using Strata to make a good scene.
The image above is changed a bit from the tutorial, but only as a matter of personal preference and speed, as well as using my own lighting technique (Image Based, with a single additional spotlight) for the final rendering, which took about 5 hours.
If said I learned a LOT doing this, it would be a massive understatement.
Much appreciation goes out to Rodrigo for this exceptional instrucitonal.

You never cease to amaze me Howie - how you can take some of the simplest of elements and give them not only a life of their own, but present them in such a realistic manner. I truly envy your 3D skills, and I can only but dream I might someday achieve even a quarter of your skill. That watch looks real enough that I expect the second hand to start ticking off the increments. Most excellent work my friend.
Much better than the actual tut :D Congratulations. I did not enhance it to kep it "for begginers". I am amazed at the result. Did you post it on Stratacafe?
