Description
So. I'm working on launching a Youtube channel, and have decided to use Daz Studio to create a static-shot vtuber.
The idea is that I'll create a bunch of different renders in different poses and facial expressions and overlay it on the videos. Using a simple lighting rig, it should render fast enough to not be a total chore.
To be real with you all for a moment. I don't like how I look. I never have. When I look in the mirror, I don't associate the person I see with myself. I also have aphantasia, so keeping a picture in my head of myself is basically impossible. I identify as gender non-conforming. While I have no intention of ever undertaking any sort of surgery or anything, being a "host" on video is nearly impossible for me, because when I go to edit it, I struggle to look at myself.
So, with encouragement from my partner, I've decided to go with this route. I'm not overly fond of VRoid studio. Nothing against it, just not quite "right" for me. Not sure if I'll ever bother to build animations, but I figure with stills, it ought to be more interesting to viewers than just talking through my hands. Since I'm focused on creating doll content, what's better than my digital dolls?
I'm about 95% there with this model. Sorta struggling to find a NICE material for brown eyes. One of the few features of mine that I'd like to incorporate. (The other being generous lips, lol) If anybody has suggestions? (I've got Twizted Eyez. and GP Character Eyes. and frankly, brown eyes are underserved, period, in art.)
Anywho, threw this together as a sort of test. I think this week I'll be throwing together a few more with different poses, and try it over some sample video to see if I like the result. Here I just pasted it on top of a plain black background, which REALLY worked well. (I thank the lighting rig I got going.)

Nice 1..
Aplausos (5)
