Except for one who keeps on working, the peasants harvesting grain seem stunned by a passing force of giant mechs and companies of mounted lancers. What's happening here? The mechs have no factional markings. The lancer banners to the right are white and red, the colors of Polonia. In the original art those of the lancers on the left are harder to distinguish. I've made them blue. This doesn't appear to be two factions, one pursuing the other, but rather a unified force. I've assumed that the banners represent two companies of lancers in the same faction. What is the storm? Is this force advancing into the storm, a coming battle? The peasant women in the middle distance are strangely still. Perhaps their men are among the lancers and they're offering a silent prayer, wondering if they'll ever see them again. The woman in the foreground, likewise, but the crouching woman, perhaps older, seems unimpressed. She's seen this all before. The fighting never ends. This render is inspired by and mimics Jakub Rozalski's artwork of the same name. Rozalski sometimes includes a small dog in is artwork, so I added one for fun. I added the birds for visual interest. The peasants are V4 in the Morphing Fantasy Dress and M3 Poet's Shirt from DAZ and Lyrra's Draped Hood. The scythe is Merlin's Freestuff. The cavalry are M4 in Officers & Gentlemen uniforms on the LoRez Horse from DAZ. The mechs are slightly modified versions of EXcaliburK117's Titan Walker MK1 from Sketchfab with new materials and rigged for Poser. The environment is Worldbase Xtreme: Lushlands with a sky texture from Magnific. The foreground is grass from Instant Meadow 3. The birds are from Flock Formations and the dog is Arrrfy. Composed and rendered In Poser 11 Pro with Photoshop post work for color.
