Description
Hi.
My tale for Rod's bday isn't ready yet---but it's Rod's birthday (RodS--Oct 20th), and I wanted to post something now.
The tale will go up this week. (Really. It's almost done!)
This ancient (saturated) photo is of the beloved park near my home. It's way old, but I always loved the 'over-hanging eaves' (the trees), and how they protect you and seem to look-out for you.
Rod and Jo (his wife) have been through so much the last few years, and I've always wished the world would protect them. Rod goes back nearly to my beginnings here, and he became one of those huge-hearted "rocks of gibraltar" that always looked after you, always supported you, and had a heart and passion that made him a hub to many here. Re his art, I know little about 3D, so can only respond to the nitty gritty stuff---the composition, balance, hues, line, all the care that goes into it, etc, and of course his passion---and I was struck from the start at how devoted Rod was to every detail, and really cared about everything he did---incl his photos, drawings, drone shots, and so on. Even his videos of him replacing his ceiling---that was worth and Academy Award! (Sorry, I just had to mention it. It's up there with Citizen Kane.)
My tale will be one of my "anything goes" tales, which I hope he'll like. (I hope. It's nuts. I can't help it.)
But for now, Happy Birthday on the day, Sir Rod, and many, many more in enormous health, light and joy, for you and your beloved Jo (may she heal deeply this year!). And you'll get the tale this week. Tons of joy, healing and uplift to you and to Jo! Mark
(Steve/eekdog did a beautiful dedi earlier today)
(i'm still getting physical therapy and getting through bronchitial stuff---I'll return for comments soon)
