Description
Here are the Blue-billed Ducks from Australia from my upcoming 3D model set "Waterfowl v6" for Poser and DAZ Studio. There's also some Royal Spoonbills and an Australasian Bittern in the background from "Shorebirds v1-2".
While their name suggests they have blue bills, only drakes (males) actually do. Seeds and vegetative parts of aquatic plants and aquatic insects and their larvae (such as chironomids, caddisflies, dragonflies and water beetles) form the bulk of its diet. They are a "Near Threatened" species due to the over-use of water for agricultural needs.
