Description
It's interesting that as more has been discovered about the Tyrannosaurus Rex some modellers have done new versions of their models to reflect the new views on the creature. Recent analysis of the teeth and skull have led to the belief among palaeontologists that T Rex had lips that would have covered up their teeth when their mouths were closed. So Herschel Hoffmeyer decided that his Tyrannosaurus Rex 2 was out of date and made this beastie, the Tyrannosaurus Rex 3. Lots of small changes, remapped, and still with optional 8k textures for close up use. It's a great model.
Just a test and scaling image but it does show how impressive this beastie was. The human figure is 6 feet tall, roughly 1.82 metres.

Super creatures. They would look good roaming the streets with some of your excellent cars. :-)
I generally prefer my dinosaur images to put the creatures in a period correct environment, though I could make up an alternative universe in which humans evolved 65 million years earlier and no asteroid hit the planet Earth...
You'd need a decent hunting rifle to kill one of these though; anything from a Winchester .3030 upwards would take care of them. Unlike in Hollywood, where dinosaurs are highly bullet-resistant, the real things were flesh and blood animals and between one and three well-placed shots from a good rifle would kill them. Hell, a large team with bows and arrows could kill one if you got your coordination right.
