This is for JohnnyM (JohnnyM).
A few months ago, I told Johnny I'd to do some "takeoffs" on his \ videos. That was eons ago. Fnally, I finished both. Well, mostly.
See, I wanted to wait until "mostly" became "for sure". But as I need to step down from RR for a big (for health and other matters), I decided to post one of the two treatments, in the upload that follows this.
But here I want to say something about Johnny...
(Disclaimer: He just posted a dedi to me, so I want you to know that I felt this long before his dedi (for which I'm immensely grateful), so he'd still deserve this dedi, even if he didn't know me. But after his dedi, it means even more.
Johnny does short videos (2 to 4 minutes)...in which he shows great intuition about film, incredible devotion, gorgeous camera work (I know he's not using a 'real' camera, but his simulations of it are uncanny), cinema, cinema, cinema (his work is wonderfull cinematic), and a big, big waterfall of heart.
The guy is devoted! I don't know how he doesn't require a month's break after each project. And he doubles his job by basing his work on others'---which means creating with another artist's art: Ie, you want to do your very best, because someone else's art is involved. If I did this as much as he does, I'd be in rehab half the year...
Between his total support of all of us, and his wonderfully committed comments, he helps this to be a truly communal place.
So thank you Johnny for all you've given, and for your devotion and for your heart. I hope my takeoff shows a little of that.

It is indeed a magical place. It looks wonderful, and I’d love to join in the chorus of praise for Johnny. It is truly fascinating what he does with his films and the tremendous talent he displays in the process. I’m actually surprised that Hollywood hasn’t come knocking long ago to ask if he wants to get involved :)
thank you lordi. The photo is of a little bridge near my home, and it's magical. So I shot it in a way that brought out its 'magic'. (Saturation, high contrast, etc.) I agree about Johnny...he shows real cinematic sense and feeling. He could direct full feature films for Hollywood or for the independent film world. ("Indies") But he'd have to get used to the massive problems...Given his kindness and patience, he could do it. But it would take over his life for a while...for all the hell of doing AI video, at least you're not raising money for months, getting a crew, and traveling to 20 different locations, dealing with live actors, etc., etc. It's a shame we all don't have a separate life just for art---like opening a closet and there's our second life whenever we want it. Johnny would make beautiful films. (He's already done so with your magical art. Your gallery has a garden full of films just waiting to be made...)
The filter is so beautiful soft, the colors almost magical and I understand, why you wrote, it's a magical spot. It looks, as if the little folk is living there. Yes, I think Johnny will like it :)
thank you nena. It is a magical spot, yes. It's very easy to miss, but someone decided to put that little bridge there, and it's like a fairy tale. You have an eye for that kind of thing all throughout your art. You probably find magic everywhere. Thank you for your very kind comment.

thanks as always, steve. Yes it was autumn, and I coaxed out those tones to make it more 'magical'. And yes, there may be a door in there---I never opened it (lol---it's probably for the city, the water department, or the police: I don't want to start a riot...) But the bridge is built to allow people to cross without bumping into cars. You're always so kind to my work, thank you very much. And yes, Johnny went to "hell and back" to make that video for me. He does it for everyone he uses in his work, and it's very special.
When you finish your balloon series, I'll go into withdrawal. I've got my eye on it...I know the day is coming...

Here, we are slowly going to Fall. I didn't go yet at Johnny's "home" here, will do in a moment. But it's always very interesting to see how his mind bring him in a direction we don't always think about.
