You know, I found you through johnnym's gallery, and it's been a festival ever since. This is a takeoff on the bond films, but your usual sense of humor is all over it. I love the pov (with the gun flaring out in our faces---that's a major gun!---w/ a silencer? a thick cartridge in any case). But then you have those dead guys on the ground---all done in a cartoonish style---like figures in stop-gap-animation. It all has a tongue-in-cheek quality.

I imagine you---one day in the far future---suddenly having no more ideas: On that day, the world will come to an end. (So don't slack off! There are 8.3 billion people counting on you!) This piece is really fun.

Thanks a lot, Mark. That piece only looks so big because of the perspective. It is—and that was important to me—the classic Walther PPK with the silencer. And yes, I did it with a bit of a wink. I love those old Bond movies; there was a certain charm to those completely absurd gadgets and situations. The new Bond films are just so... normal? Too boring for me. I even wrote a piece about it once. I’ll try to translate it sometime :D

The Bond films that feature those completely absurd gadgets and situations are the ones I like the least. Bond started out as a normal military man working for the intelligence services. He was gritty and dangerous.
The later films got more and more outrageously unbelievable - entertaining yet ridiculous.
I was rather glad when they went back to more basic stories with, first, Timothy Dalton and then Daniel Craig, even though they slipped back into absurdity with Pierce Brosnan a bit between those two.
Anyway, I like this representation of 007 - he reminds me of the Connery era. :-)

Thanks, Staticon. It’s the exact opposite for me. I found the absurdity delightfully amusing. Dalton was too stiff for my liking, and Craig was just constantly suffering. I liked Connery, Moore, and Brosnan the best :)

I understand. As they say 'different strokes for different blokes'.
I did enjoy all the films but prefer the ones that are more representative of Flemming's original description of Bond from the books. Moore and Brosnan were too smoothe - I preferred the edgier portrayals.
Nonetheless, they were all entertaining in their different ways. :-)

Well, that’s an interesting topic. I actually found that touch of arrogance in the two of them delightful for a 00 agent.

Collateral damage back there to make us wonder who the bad guy really is in this scenario? Love the POV emphasizing the pistol bore.

The name is Bond...James Bond, and what a pleasure it is to view this one as Bond has always been one of my favorite characters to want to do an animation on. Perhaps one day in the future, I will tackle such a project but not before I pry some ideas from you my friend! You did a great job with him here in this fine render scene! :)
