I've heard that Berlin has a large number of beautiful parks; I wonder if this image was inspired by them...It's a loving image, with all those blossom making a curtain and canopy over that path. And you have butterflies, a bird (maybe more, I haven't looked at every part yet), and plants, hills, and of course trees. A lovely image. One of the things I admire about your work is how many different views of life you capture; and you always come back to images like this...just evocations of peace and beauty. I don't feel anything negative from the lack of humans...it's just a beautiful inviting pathway that humans can fill whenever they wish to. Quiet and beautiful. Given the heat many of you have endured this year, this path seems very inviting....
Thanks so much, Mark. Yes, we do indeed have some beautiful green spaces here, and this picture was actually inspired by a walk through one of those parks. There’s a reason why there aren’t always people in my pictures. Sometimes I just love seeing a magnificent landscape look so untouched. I often did the same thing with my photography; sometimes I’d deliberately wait a while until there wasn’t a soul around before snapping the shot. Unfortunately, my wife doesn’t have quite that much patience and tends to walk into the frame—which is one reason why I have more photos of her from behind than from the front! laughs
A truly delightful scene. A haven for wildlife and a restful respite from the daily grind for any human who cares to take the time to visit. :-)
Sadly, the parks near me are usually filled with with drunks, vagrants and thoughtless people listening to music or podcasts loudly on their phones, radios or MP3 players. :-(
That’s annoying. Around here, there are now parks where you pay a small admission fee, and fortunately, those nasty characters aren't there.
