~He-Man and Teela~ **NOTE: Even though I am talking about the 2026 live action movie, my depiction here uses the original 1983 character designs. I have just watched the new "Masters of the Universe" (2026) movie, and it was one of the best live action adaptations I have seen in a long time. Besides the mandatory characters race swapping for virtue signaling, the writing and acting were great and the movie was a lot of fun whether or not you know the source material. It had the right balance of action and comedy to keep it amusing in and out the action scenes, and the characters were believable considering the fantastical context. Even Dolph Lundgren, who previously played He-Man in the older live action movie made a brief cameo. The actor playing Adam/He-Man (Nicholas Galitzine) did a surprisingly good job, also having great chemistry with Camila Mendes (Teela) and Idris Elba (Duncan). My only gripe was the decision to make young Teela look like a decade older than young Adam, but then when they skip to adult life, they now appear to be the same age - bonkers! But I get it - they apparently did it to make his later He-Man transformation more meaningful and impactful.
