Hi and thank-you very much for looking, my new story will continue using the beautiful V4 (Victoria 4) & M4 (Michael)... down-under picture 1; I finished the 200 bins needed by my boss and now they are in the shed waiting for picking season, well most of them are in the shed, 144 and the others are outside. When Darren gave me his computer he said I could use anything on it if I liked, this is a shed he built in 2015 for a friend at the same time our boss was rebuilding a shed in the orchard ... but that is another story I will share another time. picture 2; Spooky! haha ... does my face look spooky when I hold my torch like this? I might creep up behind Darren in the dark and scare him. picture 3; "I love you Maggie, helping you with modelling is great" ??? ... wait what did you just say? ... "I said I love helping you with modelling Maggie it is great" ... "why what did you think I said?".??? never mind and thank-you for all your help Darren. This is how the shed on the orchard really looks, Darren made it for me and as you can see it is different to previous pictures, I really need to explain to you one day how our boss made this shed, it is a crazy story but true. picture 4; Spooky! Spooky!! haha ... does my face look spooky spooky when I hold my torch like this with tail light mode activated? I might creep up behind Darren in the dark and really scare him. Aaahhhhh!. picture 5; New job is taking all the bin trailers next door where I built the bins and pull all the wheels off and change wheel bearing and have new/old tyres fitted, I raise each trailer up and put a block of wood under and take wheel off, I have to carry it over to the machine that breaks the bead and then you can remove the tyre and old tube, the manager uses the machine when he is there (not very often), when he is not there I have to use a bead breaker tool and a big heavy hammer to break the bead manually, tip: use lots of soapy liquid to help it slide off, then I use 2 tyre irons to remove one side of tyre, pull old tube out and then remove whole tyre and reverse to put it all back together using a rubber mallet to fit new/old tyre. 5 trailers once then twice in a day that will fill in my week of work. ps yes I am covered in mud from wrestling dirty wheels all day. picture 6; Just a quick tour of part of the orchard Darren made for me and it is foggy every morning, why am I holding up one finger? ... one more day and my boss will fit new/old tyres to my tractor for me, I have loved drifting my tractor on the wet slippery grass and mud haha but it is dangerous so a man will come and fit new/old tyres at the orchard for me. picture 7; Inside my cabin ... my tiny tiny cabin that is home for now and picking season. I have the computer and monitor Darren gave me just need to make room for it, I have my warm bed, my laptop, my alarm clock and some clothes (not many) and no heater. I am lucky my cabin is twice the size of others on orchard, why? someone removed the wall between two cabins to make one bigger one and that has been mine when I stay in Australia. in life the door behind me is nailed shut, it just goes outside, but in my story Darren added a bathroom for me. picture 8; Shower time haha ... cover your eyes ... yes I shower first with my dirty clothes before removing them and putting them in clothes washing machine, so much dirt will break the washing machine and then into clothes drying machine ready to get dirty again next day. picture 9; That is where I really shower and use toilet, there are two of them, one girls and one boys, but during pruning season the girls one is locked closed and I must use the boys one. why? my boss will not buy a bottle of gas for hot water to be made and only tank water is available with the water channel closed, so must save water and money. picture 10; This is the horror scene I was greeted with the first time I looked inside the boys toilets, in winter the floor will be very dirty from muddy boots, but the rest is shocking, it is mold ... in summer the shower is used lots and I guess when it is not the room does not get ventilated and mold grows. I asked my boss if he could unlock the store room so I could get some cleaning equipment and he asked why?, I told him and he scoffed at me, "rubbish" he said "I pay Sonny to clean the toilets every Friday" ... Darren then spoke up and said "I do not know who is the bigger fool, Sonny for not doing his job or you for thinking Sonny is doing his job" "Go and have a look and tell me it is safe for Maggie to shower there" "Moron" ... of course my boss would not look because he was challenged to do so, he gave me the key and left. picture 11; I love this picture showing how the orchard looks now with water at the end of rows, in picking season the tractors really make a mess at the end of rows from the water flowing from watering fruit trees and it floods in pruning season making it hard for the cherry picker machines not to get bogged, the wheel tracks from the tractor can be one foot deep and cannot be avoided, just add water and it is nasty, Darren has better tyres on his cherry picker because he owns it and spends a lot of time pulling other cherry pickers through the bog. this reminded me of when I first started as girl supervisor in the orchard and was allowed to ride the quad wheeled motorbike, next picture. picture 12; haha what happened here? first to say it was not my fault, on the Friday the orchard was being closed for the week-end so they could water the trees, I fill my quad wheeled motorbike while the fuel bowser was unlocked and it would be ready to go Monday. Monday comes and my boss needed me to find the manager and get him to come to see him at the work shop (no phone reception) normally I check my oil and fuel before riding into the orchard but my boss said "hurry hurry" so I sped through the orchard looking for the manager and found him and gave him the message, on my way back the quad wheeled motorbike started running roughly and just as I was about to go through the big puddle it died haha, yes it ran out of fuel, but I had filled it Friday, yes, but the manager rode it all weekend checking sprinklers in the orchard and did not fill it up with fuel, lesson learned and now I always check fuel hurry or no hurry, I had to walk about one kilometer to the shed to get a container of fuel and no one was there so I had to walk back also. picture 13; ??? just a bit of fun about another deep deep mud hole in the orchard, it starts at the end of the row and goes for nearly two bays of fruit trees, nearly 50 meters and it is deep, so deep that the tractor rubs its belly when going through it, if it makes it through, Darren said our boss or the manager has photos of the many times a tractor has been bogged there, lucky it is so deep because the tractor leans against the side of the hole to stop from rolling over, then has to be rescued somehow. so why is it not fixed? no one knows why it floods so badly, our boss believes it is the old pipes from the orchard still leaking water ??? not sure after twelve years no water would be left in old disconnected pipes, the manager thinks it is a leak in the main water line that crosses all the orchard to water the trees ??? but those lines are in the middle of the rows of fruit trees not at the end, but no water is pumped through the main water line in pruning season anyway, water channel is closed and big water pump is resting, so I do think so. Ssshh Darren thinks it might be a underground water spring that is leaking ??? could be there are many of them and lots of test bores have been sunk trying to find fresh water for the fruit trees, all have been too salty which means there is water underground and not very deep, Darren fears one day because it is getting bigger each year that the tractor might disappear in a very large sink hole, no one seems to want to fix the problem, how do you pick the apples in picking season? you ask the pickers to try and pick them from inside the wire or just have to leave them on the tree haha, but because of fruit fly risk someone (Darren) has to with a stick knock them off the trees. So sorry it took me this long to upload and share more with you, it will be better now I have my own computer to use and still amazed at how much content Darren has gave to me, it is easy more than double what I already had and still adding each time we meet with my external hard drive in hand, Darren either loves me or modelling for me??? not sure yet, but he is kind hearted and has my best interests at heart, he will help me always.
