Hi and thank-you very much for looking, my new story will continue using the beautiful V4 (Victoria 4) ... down-under Ok quick up-date my pictures are a bit out of order today, I have a long story about Movie night (Friday) and what happened, I just need a bit of time to finish pictures and story will be in two parts, first part tomorrow hopefully. This part of my story is Sunday when I had a rest day and went to look at the blooming fruit trees in a orchard I will be working in soon, first to bloom are the apple trees, peach trees and plums trees and later pear trees, these are apple trees with white blooming flowers, peach & plum can have white, pink or purple blooming flowers. picture 1; About 10 am and it is nice and warm with the spring sunshine on my face and yes a cupcake in my hand, oh I missed having cupcakes and this is my first in Australia it is store bought, Darren promised me he would bake some for me, chocolate of course and the best I have ever tasted, Hmmm we will see. picture 2; Just a short bike ride to another orchard where the trees are blooming flowers and little leaves, pretty sure these are apple trees also, big dark clouds are moving in I best head towards home. picture 3; Flap! flap! screech!! screech!! I am being attacked haha, not sure where this angry bird came from but it is not afraid to get close to me, can you see it? I will duck down and use the bike as a sheild. picture 4; 5 minutes pass ... 10 minutes pass ... 15 minutes pass I will try to quietly sneek out past the angry bird .. Aaahhh it flew into me hitting me in my back, now I must try running to get away from the angry bird, careful not to trip on the long grass. picture 5; On my bike and on my way "good-bye Mr angry bird I hope you are in a better mood in a few weeks when I return to do some work here" he is sitting on the lower branch watching me leave. I now know Mr angry bird is a Magpie and it is mating season for him so he is protecting something? his nest? his mate? eggs? not sure but it happens to many people this time of year in the city or in the country side, where-ever Magpies live, how long for?. When I told Darren what happened he laughed and told me he has had the same thing happen to him when on a bike ride, he had music in his ears and thought something was close behind him tapping on his helmet, then he saw the shadow on the road and knew he was about to be attacked, they will hit you and chase you until you leave their area. pruners are told to remove nests from the fruit trees, these trees did not get pruned this season they will be either removed or used for grafting new fruit next season, A job for Maggie. Up-date my boss turned on the internet now because he needs me to find 2 more girls to start work next week, hopefully he will open the girls shower/toilet building also, turning on the internet was good and bad, good because I can communicate with the world again, bad because it up-dated my photos program and now I cannot paste my name on my pictures one after another, I have to use Paint and do each one and close and open new picture each time, stupid microsoft ... haha ... Please stay safe and part one of my long Movie night story coming as soon as I can. ps I have Darrens car haha ... he was suppose to start spraying winter oil on the trees today, but my boss changed his mind and gave the job to his dim-witted nephew, Darren said "see you in a week after my holiday" and that was that, he will hopefully rest and have some good news for me about what happened Movie night (Friday) more details to come. Oh oh I must give myself credit for this orchard, it is only small but all orchards have long long grass at the moment, slashing grass and weed spraying will start soon, trees do not need competition from weeds for water and food now they are waking from winter sleep. quick fact; if you fill a tractor with fuel it doubles its value haha, fuel is so expensive. picture 6; A late inclusion I checked with Darren and it is ok to share his photo, Saturday, ‎13 ‎September ‎2014 first bud found in orchard, now in 2026 first bud was found Tuesday, 01 September 2026, warmer than average winter causes confusion for nature. ** CREDIT ** ...
