Description
~Trojan War~
"Theron and Myrrhine were just wed when the call came to muster for Troy, ripping them apart."
The war had already chosen its side, and only the day of departure remained. Troy would burn or Greece would bleed - there was no third door, and every man who boarded those ships knew he was signing a contract with death that might never be called in. Theron signed it anyway, because the alternative was watching his city rot while men like him stayed home.
He and Myrrhine had been wed for nine days when the muster came, which meant they had not yet learned how to be apart - only how to be together - and that was the cruelty of it: love still raw enough to feel like a wound, now asked to survive on memory alone. They had planned a lifetime in the small currency of mornings, whose name would be spoken first at dawn and last at night, and the war reached into that ledger and tore out every page after today.
So, this was the hour where a husband becomes a rumor. He did not promise to come back, because men who make that promise are usually the ones who don't; instead, he promised something smaller and truer - that whatever happened on the far side of the sea, she would be the first thought he carried home, if there was a home left to carry it to. Myrrhine held that vow like iron, because for her it already was: from this moment forward, every day she lived was either one step closer to him or one step deeper into a world without one, and neither version had ever been explained to her in advance.
Troy would decide it all - not with trumpets or glory, but with the quiet arithmetic of arrows, weather, and luck, none of which owed either of them anything. And so, they stood at the edge of everything they were: two people who had just become a family being asked to become a story, where one line might end in triumph and the other in an empty chair by the fire - and no one, not the gods, not the generals, not even time itself, could tell them which.

Great and romantic image. Fantastic.
Thank you! It's homage to the many unsung heroes who got ripped away from home and family in a war that lasted for 10 years. In my story, Theron received the muster for Troy just 9 days after getting married to Myrrhine, making a classic Greek tragedy. :)
What model are you using for the woman? She's spectacular! Is she one of your own mods, or a Rederosity or DAZ model? What an image!
Thank you, glad you've liked it. ^^ I used a LoRA mix of Batesz with a toned down Jackerman style. This provides a 3D render look with a bit of exaggeration I needed for this image.
Very impressive story telling and the romantic/tragic picture to it! Great work!
Thank you! I like telling stories. ^^
Now if my memory is up and running that was the ten year war sometimes called the face the 1000 ships war, often I have wonder where the wood came for the horse
I frankly believe the horse was just a nice plot device for Homer's book, and not something that actually happened. I wouldn't take it literally. ^^
Congrats on how well this turned out for you...lets hope he gets a few special moments with her before he goes to battle! :)
Thank you! Preparations for such expeditions usually took weeks, so he had plenty of time before leaving. The problem was not knowing if he would ever see her again. For all the soldiers who were with Odysseus himself, none returned. Tough cookie! ^^
Super image !
Thank you! ^^
