Description
This is a more basic rig and I am unlikely to do more work on it as it is going to be a background element. The mesh is simpler without separated doors so I haven't attempted to remake those and rig them. As it is an off-road pickup I did experiment with some procedural dust and wear, and that will transfer to other vehicles as I get more of them ready. The modeller of this actually modelled all the tread detail so texturing those tyres was easier than it has been on some other models where I needed to develop bump maps and specular maps to make the tread grooves convincing. None of that with this beauty.

NICE! This looks too nice just to be in the BG. The off-road dust looks great.
I have lots of period vehicles just as nice, some nicer than this. The first story I am developing is set in 1965 in a small town in Arizona, in an alternate universe. It means I have been collecting a lot of vehicles that date from about 1950 to 1965, many of them freebies. The models have often been untextured Wavefront Object files so getting them properly set up for Blender is a lot of work, more in some cases than others. The Apache took minutes as it was already a Blender model and very skilfully made. Without separated doors and no details inside it isn't suitable for one of the main characters to use as I can't show it too close. I agree that it does look great though.
